Some Kinda Shine made Reining history on Saturday night becoming the FIRST AND ONLY APPALOOSA to be an NRBC Open Finalist and finish in the Top 15.  “Frankie” rolled into the Great Southwest Equestrian Arena with a roar from the crowd and laid down an epic stop with Matt Mills on board (video of finals run on In-Action page soon).  The “Jackie Robinson” of Appaloosas accomplished more in that run than any other Appaloosa in reining history:
-225.5 Highest mark by an Appaloosa in NRHA History
-$19,000.  Most won by an Applaloosa in one run
-First Appaloosa to make (and compete) in NRBC Open Finals
Shawn Flarida was the 1 draw on the 2010 NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion Quistador, with Some Kinda Shine as draw 3.  If you’d of told anyone that after 5 horses, including Shawn and Quistador, that Some Kinda Shine would be leading the NRBC Open no one would have believed it!  This was for EVERYONE IN APPY NATION!  Thank you for your support!  This horse runs for each and every one of you and your support.  A few vital thank yous that need to be stated:
