First Some Kinda Shine Babies Arrive-2010 Breeding Season Complete

July 01 2010

The Frankie babies are here!  The first two Some Kinda Shine foals have arrived.  Some Kinda Swagger (out of Smart Little Talk AQHA x Smart Little Lena) and Some Kinda Bling (out of Oakie Dokie Kid AQHA x Brennas Kid).  Both are fillies and both have color!
As for the 2010 breeding season, a special thank you to ApHC 2006 Trainer of the Year Kelly Hedges (Smart Destiny’s Trip AQHA) , NRHA Professionals Sue and David Zimmerman (Pay Chex Delight AQHA), Dawn Evans (Be Aech Babe AQHA 2x NRHA World Champion) and NFL Hall of Famer Michael “Playmaker” Irvin (Frosty Lil Flo Rida ApHC).  All four bred to Some Kinda Shine for 2011 babies.  In our effort to make Some Kinda Shine the first Appaloosa NRHA Million Dollar Sire, the inclusion of these great mares by their owners is an honor.

Some Kinda Shine Dominant Appaloosa at Seminole Hard Rock Derby

Some Kinda Shine Marks 222.5 takes paycheck in every Open Division: LTE over $12,000 in less than 4 shows!

Some Kinda Shine reaffirms himself as the best Appaloosa Reining Horse amongst a field of 51 of the toughest Derby horses in the country including Shawn Flarida, Craig Schmersal, Brian Bell and Bryant Pace.  Some Kinda Shine and Jose Seutter walked into the Seminole Hard Rock Classic Derby arena following Craig Schmersal’s $2 million run (231) and all the pressure.  Not to be outdone, the duo wowed the crowd and left the arena with a 222.5 good enough for a tie for 10th in the Level 4 Open, 3rd in Level 3, and 4th in Levels 1 & 2, not to mention more than $3,400 in earnings.  Some Kinda Shine’s lifetime earnings are now over $12,000 in just 4 major showings.  There were no takers in the $2,500 added Some Kinda Shine Appaloosa Challenge reaffirming “Frankie” as the “Greatest Appaloosa Reining Horse Alive”.  Look for the run on our In-Action page.  Some Kinda Shine will spend the coming months at the breeding barn.  Next up is the NRHA Derby.
